It can review your computer\u2019s activity in real time or through\nyour log file. You just need to dive deeper into\nthe subsections if you need to know more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Improve\nYour PC Speed<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are several\nactions you can take based on the results of your speed test. Below are just\nsome of the actions you could take.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>PC Settings<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes you PC\nsettings can get in the way of optimal performance. Take your power settings,\nfor example. Go to the <strong>Startup<\/strong>\ntab. Here you\u2019ll find a list of programs that run as soon as you start your\ncomputer. You can disable applications you don\u2019t use frequently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"572\" height=\"258\" src=\"https:\/\/helpdeskgeek.com\/wp-content\/pictures\/2019\/07\/disable.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-33793\" srcset=\"https:\/\/helpdeskgeek.com\/wp-content\/pictures\/2019\/07\/disable.png 572w, https:\/\/helpdeskgeek.com\/wp-content\/pictures\/2019\/07\/disable-300x135.png 300w, https:\/\/helpdeskgeek.com\/wp-content\/pictures\/2019\/07\/disable-80x36.png 80w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 572px) 100vw, 572px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Right-click on an\nunnecessary app and select Disable so it wouldn\u2019t run during startup.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Slow Internet<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>If you find that\nonly the internet is running slow, turning off <strong>OneDrive<\/strong> could actually help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>OneDrive works by\nconstantly syncing your files to the cloud which can bottleneck your internet\nspeed. The same principle applies to other cloud-based services like Dropbox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Go to your System\nTray and right-click on the OneDrive icon. It automatically deletes files that you don\u2019t\nneed so storage never causes your computer to slow down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Go to <strong>Windows Settings<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Storage<\/strong>.
