For example, you might not be able to adjust your volume.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this reason, we don\u2019t recommend removing the HP System Event Utility unless it\u2019s absolutely required. Instead, it\u2019s better to try and update (or reinstall) HP System Event Utility to the latest version. This should remove bugs and enhance its compatibility.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Update HP System Event Utility\n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>HP recommends that users update the HP System Event Utility software to version 1.4.33 or higher. While this will affect your computer\u2019s functions, it might be better in the long run (or at least help you troubleshoot more potential fixes).\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are a few ways to remove the HP System Event Utility:\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Disable HP System Event Utility in Task Manager\n<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The first thing to try is temporarily disabling HP System Event Utility and checking if the problem has gone away. This is especially useful when the HP System Event Utility Host is preventing another app from working (like online examination programs).\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To temporarily disable HP System Event Utility:\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"1\">\n<li>Press <span style=\"font-weight:bold\">Ctrl <\/span>+ <span style=\"font-weight:bold\">Shift<\/span> + <span style=\"font-weight:bold\">Esc <\/span>to open the <span style=\"font-weight:bold\">Task<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:bold\"> Manager<\/span>.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find and right-click HP System Event Utility Host and select <span style=\"font-weight:bold\">End Task<\/span>. Uninstall Via Apps and Features\n<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The easiest way to uninstall HP System Event Utility is via Windows\u2019 apps list:\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"1\">\n<li>If you\u2019re using Windows 10 or Windows 11, press the <span style=\"font-weight:bold\">Windows<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:bold\"> key<\/span> + <span style=\"font-weight:bold\">X <\/span>and select <span style=\"font-weight:bold\">Apps<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:bold\"> and Features<\/span>. If you\u2019re using an older Windows operating system (like Windows Vista or 8.1), open the <span style=\"font-weight:bold\">Programs and Features<\/span> window as above.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scroll down and find <span style=\"font-weight:bold\">HP System Event Utility<\/span> in the list of programs.
