In this article, we\u2019ll explain how to troubleshoot and fix the \u201cHard drive not installed\u201d error so that you can get your PC up and running once again.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: Try a Hard Reset <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A hard reset completely reboots your computer and can help resolve frustrating glitches. To hard reset your PC:\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                If it doesn\u2019t work on the new PC either, you\u2019ll likely need a new hard drive. If the PC can access the hard drive normally, then the problem lies elsewhere. In this case, you should test the hard drive for bad sectors and repair them before reconnecting it to the other computer.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
