However, the Quick Analysis tool is different. It\u2019s a discrete feature that\u2019ll reveal itself when you make a selection of the range of cells. It\u2019ll automatically activate the Quick Analysis tool.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remember that the Quick Analysis tool won\u2019t show up if you select empty cells, columns, or rows. It works only with data selection, so your highlighted cells should contain raw data.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Enable the Quick Analysis Tool in Excel\n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you can\u2019t see the Quick Analysis button even then, it could be that the feature is disabled in your version of Microsoft Excel. Don\u2019t worry, you can enable it manually. But if you want to learn more about the available categories, continue reading.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-weight:bold\">Formatting\n<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The formatting category allows you to format your selected data by applying conditional formatting options to it. The formatting options available to you will depend on the type of data you\u2019re dealing with\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight:bold\">Numeric data<\/span> can use the Data Bars, Icon Sets, Greater Than, and Top 10% features.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight:bold\">Text values<\/span> can use Highlight Duplicates, Unique Values, Cells that Contain, or Exact Match features that\u2019ll help you identify and filter data based on certain criteria.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight:bold\">Dates<\/span> data can be used to highlight the ones occurring Last Month, Last Week, Greater Than, Less than, or Equal To a particular date feature.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can access the Formatting category with the keyboard shortcut <span style=\"font-weight:bold\">Ctrl<\/span> + <span style=\"font-weight:bold\">Q<\/span> and then by pressing <span style=\"font-weight:bold\">F<\/span>.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s see this category as an example. Say you want to highlight cells with values above a certain number.
